Rules and Guidelines

The rules of Jardines de Nerja must be followed so please read through them properly. They are implemented to create a lovely community atmosphere, to ensure the safety of everyone, to follow the Spanish law and requirements of insurance companies. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Swimming pool

    • (a) The swimming pool is private and can be used only by owners residents, guests, and tenants. Guests from outside the community can only be invited by an owner and must be accompanied by them at the pool.(b) The swimming pool is only open for certain hours during the day.
    • (b) The swimming pool is only open for certain hours during the day. Normally 9am to 8pm. These times are displayed by the pool. The pool will be closed for the winter months.
    • (c) Children under 12 years, must be always accompanied by an adult. Parents are responsible for the safety and behaviour of their children.
  1. All persons are required to use the pool shower and remove sun creams before entering the pool.
  2. Small toys, swimming aids etc. deemed to be safe shall be permitted only in the immediate area of the children’s pool.
  3. The following items or activities are not allowed in the pool or around the pool / garden area:
    • boats, rafts, airbeds and the like (inflatable or otherwise)
    • flippers
    • glass, china e.g. bottles, glasses, cups etc. (breakables)
    • balls, frisbees and such games
  4. Consideration should be given to others using the pool. Diving and jumping is only permitted when safe to do so, and this does not interfere with other swimmers.

General

  1. Radios, musical instruments etc. shall not be permitted in any common area, except with personal earphones.
  2. All houses have private sun terraces; topless sunbathing is not permitted in or around the pool area.
  3. Balls / Ball games are not allowed in the common areas
  4. All houses have private terraces; towels, laundry etc. should not be hung over balconies.
  5. Dogs are allowed in the houses, but not in the common areas, except for direct access to and from the car / community exit (so not on lawns/gardens/pool/play areas etc.). It should be on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for their dog at all times and it must not cause a nuisance to other owners.”
  6. Owners, tenants and guests shall pay for any damages to the common areas caused by them.
  7. Nothing shall be burnt or cooked in the common elements, nor shall fireworks be activated.
  8. Most houses on the urbanisation are terraced and with no sound insulation and mainly tiled floors, sound travels more and can cause annoyance and distress to neighbours. Please be considerate.
  9. Please ensure all household refuse is placed in plastic bags before depositing in the bins, and use the local recycling stations.
  10. Garden waste should be disposed of in the spare ground between our development and Alhambra.
  11. Cars should only be parked in the allocated spaces/areas as shown at the entrance to Jardines de Nerja, except for loading/unloading. The area outside of the main front gate should be kept clear at all times for emergency vehicles.
